Hispanic people hate the term "Latinx" so much that the number of Latinos who prefer it has dropped to 1%
· May 18, 2022 · NottheBee.com

The term "Latinx" was always hideously clunky, unworkable, awful to say, awkward, terrible—just a complete and total bomb from start to finish. Everyone knows it, at least except for the white people who have continued to try and make it a thing.

The number of Latino people who actually like it has always been vanishingly small. In 2020 it was around 3%:

By 2021 new polling showed it dropping to 2%:

Now, a new poll shows the positive response cratering to almost-unquantifiable lows:

Preferred ethnic identity term

Latino 28%

Hispanic 71%

Latinx 1%

Yes, that's right—we're at 1%, folks!

How much lower can it get?? Can't wait to see!
