In what comes as a surprise to absolutely no one, anywhere, it has been discovered that the mostly peaceful Black Lives Matter organization once dished out a grant of $200,000 to a radical cop-hating black activist group in Chicago.
The group is called Equity and Transformation, and their main objective is to support post-incarcerated people. The group claims to promote "social and economic equity for Black Workers engaged in the informal economy." These are folks who work jobs "not regulated or protected by the state" —yes, this does include criminals, thanks for asking.
EAT's founder cheered on the destruction of Minneapolis during the George Floyd riots and for some reason or another thinks convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur a hero (wonder why).
Daily Mail gives us these fine social media posts of Wallace's incase you think I'm making this up:
And...
Shakur is the sister of West Coast rapper Tupak Shakur. She's a former member of the Black Liberation Army who killed a New Jersey State Trooper in a shootout back in 1973.
A true "hero"!
More support for cop killers:
Last summer, the group sent a text message to supporters saying, 'Black August is when we commemorate the lives of our fallen freedom fighters and political prisoners, prisoners of war, and exiles.'
The text message called on supporters to sign petitions calling for clemency for Mutulu Shakur, the stepfather of rapper Tupac, also a Black Panther; and fellow Black Liberation Army member Sundiata Acoli, who was one of three convicted with Assata for the killing of New Jersey trooper Werner Foerster.
So it's obvious that this group, which has done no cop killing of their own as of today's public knowledge, definitely supports those who kill cops. And the founder clearly believes destroying neighborhoods is a positive for the movement.
And here's Black Lives Matter dishing them out $200k in 2021:
Black Lives Matter donated $200,000 during its 2021 fiscal year to a radical Chicago group run by a defund the police activist who has repeatedly referred to cops as 'pigs' and has expressed delight over unrest against officers…
The grant gifted to the group by BLM in 2021 was just one out $25 million in grants doled out by the org during its 2021 fiscal year, tax forms show.
The 2021 tax documents serve as the first look inside the group's much contested finances, which have since come under scrutiny.
Remember, the BLM protest of 2020 and beyond have all been "mostly peaceful," so nothing to worry about here...
I wonder what kind of groups the rest of that $25 mil went to.
For good measure:
Richard Wallace, who heads black activist group Equity and Transformation (EAT), organized several anti-police protests, has called officers 'b*****ds"...
He also believes that African-Americans are entitled reparations due to centuries of slavery and white oppression.
So we have a little preview of the sort of groups Black Lives Matter affiliates itself with.
More to come, I'm sure.
