ESPN's Stephen A. Smith has moment of clarity, calls out black-on-black crime in Chicago

Sports commentator Stephen A. Smith is in hot water with certain factions of the Left after this clip from his podcast started making the rounds.

He said the one thing you're not allowed to say when talking about race: people of the same race are more likely to murder each other than they are to be murdered by people of other races.

Particularly, black-on-black crime is a major problem:

He said the unforgivable FACT.

Over Memorial Day weekend, from Friday to Monday, at least 53 people were shot. 11 fatally, according to police.

If one black person was killed by the police we'd raise holy hell and in some cases there'd be riots in the streets.

He's so close to getting it.

Black-on-black crime is a problem exponentially more dangerous than the police. And in many cases, more police presence would save lives in places like Chicago.

Black Lives Matter has always been an anti-police movement more than anything.

As many have pointed out, if you cared about "black lives" you'd first protest in Chicago to stop the endless bloodshed. Or, you could protest outside of Planned Parenthood, far and away the biggest killer of black people.

And while we're thankful that Stephen A. is coming around and making some sense, until he gets targeted by the woke mob, it's important to realize where he falls short.

Pastor D.B. Harrison helps to explain:

Any solution that doesn't focus on the soul of the people involved is only a half solution. While the black community could step up, and while good policing could make a difference, there's a battle for the soul of the black community.

And that starts within each man, realizing the value of life.

That's the kind of change that lasts.
