Watch: This vid describing L.A.'s plan to reopen schools is straight out of a dystopian nightmare
· Mar 2, 2021 · NottheBee.com

This was an animated short made by L.A. Public Schools that's supposed to make parents feel better about sending their kids back to school.

Check it out:

I don't know about you, but this boondoggle of a video sent chills up my spine.

First, the music and voiceover in this Oscar-worthy nightmare is creepy as all get out.

Second, a little kid shouldn't be terrified of getting this thing or passing it on. If you're making your kid afraid of this thing, turn in your parenting card yesterday.

Third, the process a student has to follow in order to get a single day pass to go to school is insane:

  • The student must have a recently negative COVID-19 test. There was no specific info on timeframe, but the district wants students to ideally be tested weekly.
  • Parents must take their kids to a testing site around the city to get this completed.
  • Students must fill out an online health check using a system developed by Microsoft, then print out their pass.
  • When they get to the building, students must have their temperature taken, wear masks all day, and never socially interact with anyone in close proximity.

This isn't school. It's prison.

These measures would only be "common sense" if this were the freakin' Bubonic Plague.

For perspective's sake, do you know how many U.S. kids age 5-14 have died as of mid-February with (note, not necessarily of) COVID-19?

72.

Every year, around 12,000 kids in America die from accidents. 100 kids die from bicycle-related incidents alone. 2,000 deaths are from home injuries, like suffocation, burns, drowning, etc. Over 180 kids died from choking in 2017 alone.

And yet for less than 100 deaths in the primary age range for school kids, we're going to require them to produce their papers each morning, cover their facies, and stay afraid so they have the privilege to learn in prison camps.

No thanks.

Even for older high school and college kids who fall into the 15-24 age group, the risk here is very low. Over 650 in this group have died with the Rona, but in the last year, 38,000 others died of other causes. The mortality rate for males in this category is over twice as high as females, and if you've ever met an 18-year-old dude, you'll know why.

Translation: Rona is unlikely to kill your kid, but driving them insane with this junk probably will.

If I were in Los Angeles, I wouldn't do this to my children.

There are plenty of other places to live in America.
