UN agencies say “consensual” sex with kids should be decriminalized in new report

The United Nations is made up of pedophiles.

Do you have a different term for adults who want sex with kids?

These are the words of recent report for the UN released by the International Committee of Jurists, UNAIDS, and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights:

With respect to the enforcement of criminal law, any prescribed minimum age of consent to sex must be applied in a non-discriminatory manner. Enforcement may not be linked to the sex/gender of participants or age of consent to marriage. Moreover, sexual conduct involving persons below the domestically prescribed minimum age of consent to sex may be consensual, in fact, if not in law. In this context, the enforcement of criminal law should reflect the rights and capacity of persons under 18 years of age to make decisions about engaging in consensual sexual conduct and their right to be heard in matters concerning them.

Pursuant to their evolving capacities and progressive autonomy, persons under 18 years of age should participate in decisions affecting them, with due regard to their age, maturity and best interests, and with specific attention to non-discrimination guarantees.

See how the game is played?

It's not about the adults licking their chops at the opportunity to molest children.

It's about the "evolving capacities" and the "progressive autonomy" of children.

Won't anyone think of the kids? You would be a monster and a bigot if you denied them the ability to "participate in decisions" involving adults molesting them!

Criminal law is among the harshest of tools at the disposal of the State to exert control over individuals… as such, it ought to be a measure of last resort however, globally, there has been a growing trend towards overcriminalization," Ian Seiderman, Law and Policy Director at ICJ, said in the press release. "We must acknowledge that these laws not only violate human rights, but the fundamental principles of criminal law themselves."

The UN says human rights – nay, DEMOCRACY! – is threatened by anyone who would deny adults sexual access to children! It's "overcriminalization"!

This call to legalize pedophilia was paralleled by calls to decriminalize "sex, drug use, HIV, sexual and reproductive health, homelessness and poverty."

Perhaps you are still naive and believe this would only apply to nations where sex outside marriage between two teenagers is criminalized.

Or here in the West, you imagine cases where, say, a 19-year-old and a 16-year-old are in a relationship. Perhaps at the outer edges of possibility, you think it might apply to a 25-year-old high-school teacher who slept with a student.

Think again, my friend.

You have to look at what the UN is doing within the wider sexual revolution of our time, especially the push to accept "Minor Attracted Persons."

Imagine a world where perverts can rape kids and say it was consensual; where sickos could even pimp out 10-year-olds (why stop there?) or upload child porn under the banner of "consent."

That is the world we are headed toward. Quickly.

I've read the fact-checks for this report that say it isn't stumping for pedophilia, simply acknowledging that older children may be able to consent to sex, but the only reason a minor having sex with someone would need to be decriminalized is if that someone is an adult.

There is no limiting principle in this report – no standard that holds it to account. It is based entirely on the notion of perceived maturity and consent, two very malleable elements that can, and will, be pushed into further definitional obscurity. Right now, the language is obscure enough to fact-check the naysayers; in a few years, we'll be proven right but it will be too late, for by then, they'll be arguing 5-year-olds can consent to sexual abuse. After all, if a child can know they are a different gender in kindergarten, why can't they decide to have sex?

(I spend much more time than you in dark corners of the web where evil men argue such things daily.)

Here's a principle: When in doubt on the issue of evil, call a spade a spade.

A decade ago, the people who warned about this slippery slope said legalized pedophilia was coming, but people laughed at them.

Try laughing now.
