The GOAT has spoken.

In a radio interview with The New Yorker, Jerry Seinfeld triggered leftists by acknowledging the indisputable fact that everything woke turns to crap.

Nothing really effects comedy. People always need it. They need it so badly, and they don't get it. It used to be you'd go home at the end of the day, most people would go, "Oh, Cheers is on. Oh, M.A.S.H. is on. Oh, Mary Tyler Moore is on. All in the Family is on."

You just expected, "there'll be some funny stuff we can watch on TV tonight."

Well, guess what. Where is it?

This is the result of the extreme left, and PC crap, and people worrying so much about offending other people. When you write a script and it goes into 4 or 5 different hands, committees, groups, "Here's our thoughts about this joke ... " well, that's the end of your comedy.

They move the gates, like in skiing. Culture- the gates are moving.

You job is to be agile and clever enough, that wherever they put the gates, I'm gonna make the gate.

The point Jerry is making isn't that no one makes good comedy anymore. It's just rarer than ever before because with wokeness moving the gates they're taking a lot of comedy off the table.

You can be The Babylon Bee and just ignore the gates, but most aren't going to do that because they want mainstream success.

Jerry is the GOAT of stand-up and the GOAT of sitcoms.
