Remember when Denver's illegal immigrant population made a list of demands for the mayor? Well, it looks like they left one demand out: Free jewelry.

Millions of dollars in free jewelry.

One of the store owners, last name Munoz, said the guys were speaking in Venezuelan accents. Make of that what you will. I'll leave some unrelated reading material below.

I mean, if the law means nothing when you enter the country, why should it mean anything when you're here?

Here's what we know about this armed robbery at Joyeria El Ruby jewelry store in Denver:

Just before 2 p.m. Monday, Myrna Munoz said a man came into the shop and pretended to be shopping. She said a few minutes later, three more men came in the front door and entered the ‘cage' area of the shop.

Munoz said something did not feel right. She asked the three men to take off their sunglasses and hats, to which they agreed. But within a matter of seconds of them getting in, things turned violent.

‘They all pulled guns, the individual here pulled a gun then the other three did as well,' Munoz said.

The family believes the original man who first came in to pretend to shop propped the main door. Several of the men jumped the counter and began filling bags with jewelry while one held customers on the ground at gunpoint.

One of the owners tried to hit the panic button, but as you can see in the video, the robbers were able to stop her. They struck her three times in the head with a pistol and threatened to kill her if she tried the button again.

When all was said and done, the men had stuffed $2 million worth of Jewelry into their duffel bags.

Here's at least one thing that I found positive about this story:

Munoz said she was able to push her daughter and grab her 18-month-old son and escape out the back door.

Can you imagine if those kids had been there to witness this?

I guess we'll find out soon whether or not these men were in the country illegally. And by "we" I mean people who don't get their news from the big corporate outlets who serve the Democratic Party.
