Hard to believe this is still 21st century America, when a group of privileged white supremacists can get away with something like this:

A Detroit-area community has banned LGBTQ+ flags from publicly owned flagpoles after a tense hourslong meeting that raised questions about discrimination, religion and the city's reputation for welcoming newcomers.

In protest, a woman speaking during the public comment portion of the Hamtramck City Council meeting kissed a woman standing next to her Tuesday night.

Yeah, two ladies kissing! That'll show those bigots! Take a stand, sisters! You...

...oh, wait, where did you say this was? Hamtramck? Hamtramck, Michigan?

So you mean the city council was composed entirely of, well:

Ah. Those are all, um, well, not white people.

Well, um, I mean, even if the city council is all-Muslim, that doesn't mean the town itself isn't controlled by nefarious white supremacist forces, right? Right??

In 2015, Hamtramck became the first city to have a Muslim-majority city council in the history of the United States, with four of the six council members being Muslim. In November 2021, Hamtramck elected a completely Muslim-American city council and a Muslim mayor, becoming the first municipality in the United States to be governed entirely by Muslim-Americans.

Oh. Right.

Well, I'm sure there's some white supremacy involved in this somewhere. I mean, there's gotta be. Maybe if we, like, look under some rocks or something. Or in an alley somewhere, or like a back room.
