Firearms and ammunition are forbidden in the Netherlands, so how did they just have a mass shooting?

The leftists will insist that the following story is impossible considering the Netherlands has outlawed all firearms, ammunition, and weapons of any kind including swords, knives, grenades, and pepper spray.

Nonetheless in defiance of all leftist logic, a mass shooter went on a rampage in Rotterdam, Netherlands, killing three people and setting fire to a hospital.

Sadly, a mother and her 14-year-old daughter, along with a teacher, were killed at the Erasmus Medical Center.

The shooter, who authorities are only referring to as Fouad L. (a very traditional Dutch name, I might add), had a history of mental illness and was a student at the medical school.

He had apparently completed his degree, but the school insisted he have a psychological evaluation before practicing medicine, considering he had been convicted of an animal cruelty charge involving chucking dead rabbits into his neighbors' yard โ€” the same mother and daughter killed in the shooting.

The school's demands enraged Fourad, and he snapped.

But one wonders where he managed to find a gun in a nation that has outlawed all weapons.

It's not like firearm technology is so basic that someone could just build a gun from scratch and assassinate the former prime minister of Japan with it.

Oh that's right.

It is.

A simple high-school level understanding of physics and chemistry could turn anyone into an arms manufacturer.

I'm not saying that's what happened in Rotterdam, but it definitely happened in Japan, which also outlaws all weapons. And even if your country and the countries around you (like in Europe) ban guns, the criminals are always going to find a way to get them because there are guns everywhere on the planet and that isn't going to change.

I know you are tired of shooting sprees - we all are - but the Second Amendment remains the world's best defense against these sorts of events. Bad guys are going to bad guy. Are we going to let the good guys have a fighting chance?

If there had been a well-trained, law-abiding, good-guy with a gun nearby, the events in Rotterdam could have been far less tragic, because there is always a next time and a psycho waiting to snap.

I'll just leave these here:
