Malaria looks to be making a comeback in multiple U.S. states

We're now in the "eradicated tropical diseases are making a comeback" phase of Build Back Better™.

A Maryland resident was hospitalized with malaria after contracting the disease locally — a first in more than 40 years, Maryland Department of Health officials said Friday. ...

Locally contracted malaria cases have also been reported in Florida and Texas this year for the first time in decades, raising concerns that the disease could return to areas where it has long been considered eradicated.

Malaria was declared as eliminated in the U.S. in 1951, which is amazing, because we weren't even flying gay rainbow flags or policing speech back then.

Any cases are exceedingly rare, and local transmission is effectively nonexistent. The last local transmission in America was in 2003. It's been 20 years!

There are over 240 million malaria cases worldwide each year. The disease kills over 600,000 of those people.

As our societal collapse continues, remember to dump out that stagnant water!
