Presidents Biden, Obama, Clinton, and Trump were in NYC today. Only one went to the funeral of slain officer Jonathan Diller.

I know that politics is all about optics, but sometimes through all the veneer you get a glimpse of who really cares.

Jonathan Diller was killed this week by a man with 21 felonies who was back out on the streets due to justice "reform" policies in New York.

I know there's not time for every president to be at every funeral and disaster site. I know they have schedules and fundraisers and need time with their families. I know there are security considerations ... and looking to compete with each other to attend the funerals of dead cops isn't what I'm asking for.

But I want to step away from these two default responses for a moment:

Like I said, politics is optics. But who you pay attention to speaks volumes. Everyone is looking for votes. Today, Trump is looking for votes by recognizing a horrific loss of life and speaking to the American people. Biden, Obama, and Clinton are hanging out with Lizzo and wealthy donors.

What type of person do each of these presidents honor? What type of person gets their attention?

Understand that I'm not trying to be nasty to Biden, Obama, or Clinton here.

I just see a difference across all the years I've watched our former presidents, and who they pay attention to.
