Oh great! I owe someone $10; a libertarian actually won a presidential election!

The man who pulled it off was Javier Milei in Argentina, who just destroyed the hopes and dreams of the lefties who wanted to sink their country further.

Milei ran his entire presidential campaign wielding a chainsaw, promising to cut down the government, and echoing President Trump's call to "drain the swamp."

Did I mention he hates Karl Marx and his brood?

In order to cut Argentina's out of control inflation (currently at 142% year over year), he promised to cut Argentinian spending by closing Argentina's ministries of culture, education, and diversity, and by eliminating public subsidies.

American libertarians everywhere:

His opponent was the current economic minister Sergio Massa, who promised to keep pushing socialism until Argentina was Venezuela (my paraphrasing).

Here are some of his leftie supporters sobbing that they might have to stop printing money for nothing and pay their bills.

The media is calling Milei's calls for economic sanity and small government "far-right extremism."

But everything short of Marxist revolution is far-right extremism. Here are more of Massa's supporters crying over his loss over at CNN:

Milei‘s campaign slogan was "¡Viva la libertad, carajo!" (Long live liberty, darn it!)

He won with 55% of the vote.

Even Donald Trump cheered on Milei's victory on Truth Social:
