In today's world of sports, referees just don't get enough love for what they do. So when I saw this little gem on TV Thursday night I just knew I had to show it to you.

Check out the support this man Stephen Hiff got during his NHL refereeing debut out in Vancouver.

A full-on dazzle of zebras right there!

Friends and family of the young referee flew out all the way from Toronto to catch the game and show their support for Hiff.

And you just love to see it!

A little info on Hiff:

Like most officials, Hiff wanted to remain close to the game after his playing days in college and the BCHL as a junior had come to an end. According to ScoutingTheRefs.com, Hiff has worked AHL and OHL games since 2019, and signed an NHL contract last year.

Respect your local referee, people. Their job ain't easy.
