This is like a scene straight out of a Western.

Check out this story from Israel this week about a dad who stopped a terrorist from carving up his family. From The Times of Israel:

An Israeli man who shot an armed Palestinian who attempted to infiltrate the West Bank settlement of Tekoa in the Etzion bloc on Sunday night was drinking tea with his wife when he spotted the would-be attacker climbing the security fence a few meters away.

Yair Maimon did not hesitate, he said, quickly rushing his family inside and grabbing his M16 rifle, which he possessed as a civilian member of the settlement's security team.

Yeah, if you don't know, Israelis often open carry M16s in public while they're walking around town with their families.

You know, because there's crazy, brainwashed death cultists trying to stab them and blow them up around every corner.

Here's footage of the perp scaling the fence:

"That made us jump right out of our chairs," he said. "I shouted toward him, ‘Stop, who is that?' He mumbled something unclear and continued climbing. From that moment, we realized it was a terrorist attack."

Maimon had a legit reason to be afraid: Nearly 20 people have died in the last month due to terror attacks as tensions with Palestinian activists reach yet another boiling point, and he has a wife and seven kids.

Many Israeli neighborhoods have their own security teams, but this champ knew they wouldn't arrive in time.

"I ran inside to grab my weapon, I cocked it and continued toward the door, when I realized I had to alert security forces that there's a terrorist here, but I couldn't do that, so I asked [my wife] Merav to make the call," he said.

The dad quickly defended the homestead.

Unfortunately, his 13-year-old daughter saw the whole thing (and filmed it), which brings to light how tragic the entire situation is all around.

In a radio interview, Maimon said he "ended the incident."

I ran inside, took my weapon, and as a member of the on-call security department, I began searching outside. He arrived behind me with a drawn knife in his hand. I turned to face him and that was it - we ended the incident.

Man, this guy!

Here's the knife the attacker had:

Terror-group Hamas took credit for the young terrorist they had brainwashed and filled with delusions of jihad, paradise, and hatred of Jews.

One of their verified accounts posted on Twitter, because of course Twitter lets them on its platform with a blue check!!

Translation: "The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, its son, the 18-year-old martyr Mu'tasem Muhammad Atallah who was shot dead on Sunday evening, 5/82022, by the occupation bullets, inside the 'Tkoua' settlement, near the town of Tekoa - Bethlehem."

Good thing Twitter has cracked down on that extremism!

Anyway, this absolute Chad wasn't done yet. Israel's Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked called him a hero, and then Maimon went and did this:

On Monday, Maimon uploaded a picture to his Facebook page of his wife and himself sipping coffee on their porch with the caption "Waiting for the next terrorist," alongside a winking emoji.

Like I said, a modern Wyatt Earp!
