Jon Levine at the New York Post is right though. Imagine that this story wasn't in Alabama. Imagine it was being covered in Los Angeles or New York.
In that case, it would probably feature a tearful story of the criminal's life circumstances, the parents would likely face charges for allowing their kid to access and properly use a weapon, and the kid himself might have faced penalties.
While violent crime may be running rampant through big cities with super strict gun laws, it's good to see there are places in the nation where criminals might still think twice before doing evil things!
