At least 24 people were shot from Saturday night to Sunday morning in Chicago, leaving at least two dead.
24 shot in 24 hours!
No one is in custody for any of the shootings, except one. The shootings remain under investigation.
The two dead victims:
- A 41-year-old man shot in the chest Saturday night. He was discovered lying between two parked cars in Humboldt Park Saturday night.
- A 23-year-old man was shot in the head Sunday morning. According to police, he was in his car, stopped at a traffic light, when an unknown person in an SUV pulled up next to him and "started a brief conversation with him" before opening fire.
Of the 22 injured victims, six of them are teenagers: 14-year-old, a 15-year-old, a 17-year-old, and three 18-year-olds. None of them are in critical condition.
Four of the injured victims remain in critical condition.
