7 stories you shouldn't have missed over the weekend but probably did
· May 28, 2024 · NottheBee.com

Whenever there's a holiday weekend, a lot of breaking news flies under the radar. Overall, that's a good thing: Almost none of you should be plugged into the newsfeed as much as our team.

So if you're wondering what you need to know, let me catch you up to speed:

1. A rich kid from Martha's Vineyard allegedly stabbed a bunch of girls and of course he likes to paint his fingernails:

Four girls between 9 and 17 years old were stabbed, along with two others at a nearby McDonald's in Massachusetts. One of the victims moms said the suspect was "laughing the whole time." All of the victims are expected to survive. Police say the mass stabbing is connected to a murder in Connecticut.

2. The Libertarian Party seems to have nominated a clown for the White House:

Not only does Chase Oliver like face masks, drag queens, and Pride parades, but he supports gender procedures for kids and open borders.

Heck of a guy!

3. Democratic Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Cori Bush both made Memorial Day posts that they deleted after backlash:

Both representatives stumped for increased funding for social services provided to veterans. People were upset that they missed the point of Memorial Day - not to honor the living, but the dead.

4. The latest Mad Max spinoff absolutely tanked at the box office:

The movie made only $31 million at the box office, which is the worst Memorial Day haul in 43 years when adjusted for inflation.

One man, who apparently doesn't understand how Hollywood has tanked its credibility and brand, went viral for asking what adult moviegoers want. The consensus was fewer girl-bosses, reboots, spinoffs, and scavenging off the carcasses of cultural heroes that Hollywood killed off in the name of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

5. This boy trounced all the girls in the state championship for track and field:

As can be seen in the video, "Veronica" Garcia blew his female competitors out of the water. This follows a similar win where a "trans" athlete led one Oregon high school to victory by using his manly muscles to win the state shot put competition.

6. The person who doxxed Chiefs player Harrison Butker for saying Christian things on the the official account of the Kansas City government has been fired.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas confirmed that the employee had been canned and said it "resolved" the matter.

I think that to me, in many ways, resolves the back and forth that's in the political world. I think there has been accountability from the City of Kansas City. We all look forward to moving on [and] let the Chiefs play.'

Is firing punishment enough when we are talking about a government employee who leaked the home location of a public figure in order that he might be harassed/harmed?

7. Here's one that we didn't cover but is big news nonetheless:

Elon Musk helped found OpenAI, creator of ChatGPT, with the goal of having, well, an open artificial intelligence platform that couldn't be controlled by one centralized power.

OpenAI, unfortunately, has inserted far-left American ideology into its platform and is being sued by Musk for its partnerships with companies like Microsoft.

Other AI systems, like Google's Gemini, have been blasted for similar ideological compromise and a goal of centralization.

Musk's xAI seeks to build out X's Grok AI as a non-woke, objective competitor. He has raised an historic $6 billion for the company, which now has a $24 billion valuation. The company will build a massive supercomputer, which should be good for Nancy Pelosi's computer chip investments!

Hope you enjoyed the recap: Now back to our normal processing of clown world!
