5 weeks ago, a Buffalo fan fell into a pit where their new stadium is being built and the Bills won. The fans have thrown someone in the pit each week since and they haven't lost yet.

If there's one fanbase in the NFL where this kind of story doesn't surprise me, it's the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills Mafia has apparently started a new tradition after a fan fell into a pit 6 weeks ago, Andy-Dywer Parks-and-Rec style, when their winning streak to get them into the playoffs began.

Since then, a fan has fallen into (or, more likely, jumped or been tossed into) the pit every single week. And it's working.

Even during the away games, fans are driving to the construction site and hurling themselves into the pit as a sort of human sacrifice every single game since the streak began.

This is, of course, absolutely perfect for the Bills Mafia which is the most insane, dedicated, and drunk fanbase in the NFL.

Here's an average Sunday for the Bills:

Am I surprised this fanbase is hurling themselves into a construction pit because of a superstition? No. If I was closer to Buffalo would I consider joining in the ritual? Maybe.

Gotta help the team win.

And, in addition to the Hey Hey Hey song, I think Bills Mafia needs to adopt another musical number for their team this year.

Let's go, Buffalo!
