Well here's a shocking stat for you. From Pew:

More than HALF (56.3%) of liberal white women age 18-29 have been diagnosed with a mental health condition. That's more than DOUBLE the percentage (27.3%) of conservative white women in the same age bracket.

Not self-diagnosed, like people do on Instagram, but actually diagnosed by a medical professional as having a mental health disorder.

What could possibly explain such a huge number of young, white, liberal women having clinical mental health issues? And what could explain the vast disparity between those women and their young, white, conservative counterparts?

Oh, I certainly have my hypotheses. But the answer to those questions, dear reader, I will leave for you to answer for yourself.
