This is the bravest 8-year-old I've ever seen right here.

Here are the deets: Dad was working as the manager, daughter was behind the counter with him, robber came in and started fighting dad, and then she came to the rescue with a baseball bat.

Store manager Leo says he was preparing to close the store around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when Morrell [the robber] walked in and wandered through the store.

‘He put the gun on the table, he asked me to give him all the money and everything in the register I told him yes — I'll give you everything,' Leo said.

Behind the counter beside Leo was his 8-year-old daughter.

It was a fake gun, basically just a BB gun, so it's possible that Leo was able to identify this as a flaw in the robber's plan.

Here's what happened next:

Little girl wasn't gonna let daddy go down without getting a few swings in for him.

Moms and dads, if your little girl comes out from behind the counter at your liquor store and helps you beat up a robber, you are officially a great parent. Congratulations.

My favorite part of the story, though:

Leo said he asked his daughter the next day what made her do that — she told him that she wanted to defend him and that she loved him so much.

Must be a good poppa!

The robber, Conchobhar Morrell, was arrested and charged with first-degree attempted aggravated robbery.
