Usually, if you're talking to 911, it's because you're in the midst of an emergency and you call them. You know?

But sometimes — every so often — the dispatcher calls you.
And apparently it's not good news when she does.
From local news:
On Friday, June 6, Karen Clinton received a phone call she says she will never forget.
As the phone rang, she rushed to pick it up. When she read the caller ID, it said Twinsburg Police.
'My heart started racing. I was bracing for impact. I was getting ready; do I need to sit down?' said Clinton.
(As an aside — sheesh, is this lady a closet criminal who was just waiting for the police to close in on her??)

Anytime anyone gets a call from the police, they're gonna sweat a little bit. And as it turns out, Mrs. Clinton had plenty to sweat about, because this 911 dispatcher was out to get her:
The dispatcher first identified themselves as Twinsburg Police, then asked Clinton if she had her full attention.
Once the dispatcher was sure that Clinton was listening, she said, 'Congratulations, you win the prize. It is called the booby prize. You are the dumbest person to call the police department on a repeated basis.'
Well I don't know about you but I'd be hurt by that.
The caller — identified as 911 dispatcher Loretta Nash — "continued by going into detail about the number of times she says Clinton called first responders in the last 15 years."
Evidently since 2010, Mrs. Clinton had lodged a whopping 183 phone calls to the police station, contributing to "954 traffic details" on her street.

Now I see why she was waiting on the call from the police!
The Twinsburg chief of police did call to personally apologize, but by that point Karen Clinton had had it, opting to "file a formal complaint against Nash and eventually pressed criminal charges."
(Yes, we're not missing the irony here: Mrs. Clinton was mocked for calling the police too much, and her response was to ... call the police!)

Nash was charged with "telecommunications harassment and prohibited conduct," to which she plead not guilty.
I'm guessing she won't be getting her dispatch job back anytime soon!
