The Art Institute of Chicago fired all of its guides because they were mostly white females and that's apparently not diverse enough

So this story is extremely stupid, but if you live in Chicago you're probably not surprised in the slightest:

So that headline basically says it all, and it's really dumb, but let me give you some details:

The Art Institute used to have more than 100 docents, 82 of whom were active, until an executive director of learning and engagement, Veronica Stein, sent an email on Sept. 3 firing them all...Docents are trained volunteers who lead tours of museums, and at the Art Institute, they averaged 15 years of unpaid service.

The firings were apparently sparked by the fact that most of the docent staff was composed of older White, financially well-off women, the outlet reported.

Wow. This country has come a long way!

I'm old enough to remember a time when giving women these types of intellectual positions was considered progress.

NOT ANYMORE!!!

BACK OF THE LINE, OLD, WELL-OFF WHITE WOMEN!

TIME'S UP!!

No more volunteer jobs for you!

I'm not even sure what to say about this. I thought Trump-supporting bigots were the ones that were supposed to hate women.

I guess the baton has been passed to trans women or some sort of new animal-human hybrid species we haven't heard of yet.

But hey, guys, this isn't all bad. Check it out:

The fired docents were offered a two-year free pass to the museum as gratitude for their previous service.

So hey, you can't work here anymore, but you sure can come back and see us, free of charge!

Hope you enjoy the guide's lack of knowledge on all these pieces. Maybe you could help them out, slip them a few bits of knowledge during the tour. Thanks again for your volunteer service all these years. We really appreciate it!

I'm sorry, but this museum just slapped these women across the face big time and I'm kind of upset.

This is beyond parody.
