Just classic stuff right here:
Yeah dude, ya might wanna, like, turn off the gas before trying to steal a furnace. Pretty major step.
So it sounds like Winnipeg Police responded to a break and enter call late last month and when they arrived at the vacant home they could smell the propane seeping out of the place.
They entered the home and came across two unconscious individuals. I assume these two bozos were very near to the furnace—wherever it may have been by this point. The police removed the man and woman from the home and handed them over to the EMT, who brought them out of their sleep.
Police said the man and woman, both in their 40s, were trying to steal the furnace when the gas feed became dislodged, and the ensuing gas leak knocked them out.
Okay, this part has me confused, though:
They were detained but later released without charges.
How do they get away with this?
Did the police consider their bad luck punishment enough??
