Victim of Islamic terrorist attack convicted of Islamophobia by German court
· Dec 6, 2024 · NottheBee.com

You really can't make it up.

You may remember this attack, which took place in Mannheim in the early summer of 2024.

In case you missed it, we covered here:

Apparently, in Germany, simply noticing the characteristics of the attacker is illegal.

Six months after the attack, counter-jihad activist Michael Stürzenberger has been charged with "incitement to hatred" and had a fine leveled against him in a Hamburg court. All because he spoke out against Islam.

Stürzenberger's incitement conviction is not directly related to the incidents in Mannheim. Instead, it relates to statements he made at a rally in Hamburg in 2020. He was originally found guilty of incitement to hatred and given a six-month prison sentence at a Hamburg court in September 2022, but appealed the conviction. Last month the court upheld the original verdict, but reduced his sentence to a fine of €3,600.

It's almost as if the courts have decided, "You know what? The terrorist has a point, we really should shut this guy up."

Today's modern, western, liberal democracy is equally as tolerant of free speech as an Islamic radical who took offense to his speech.

Just in case you were wondering how the postwar order was going in Europe.

The Stürzenberg case shows how dangerous, intimidating and anti-democratic Germany's laws against incitement to hatred and hate speech are. It would be difficult to find a country in Western Europe that restricts free speech as radically as Germany does - especially when it comes to criticising Islam. Indeed, the German elites regard criticism of Islam as an act of right-wing extremism that needs to be censored.

Originally, the court was going to lower his fine and take his victimization into account. But it looks like they've changed their mind in order to do the Norm MacDonald meme.

Free speech in Europe is gone.
