A group of bandits in Ghana robbed a bus and then after they were done they asked all the passengers to pray for them

This is the sort of thing about which kids these days say: "I did NOT see that coming."

Five masked armed robbers have reportedly attacked over 40 passengers travelling from Takoradi in the Western Region to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

A victim of the incident, Ekua, said the VIP bus with registration number GT 5795-16 set off from the Abenbebon Station at Apremdo, Takoradi at around 10:30 pm on Sunday.

However, in the wee hours of Monday, they were ambushed by the armed men and robbed of their belongings.

"At around 3:30 am on Monday, February 21, 2022, about five armed robbers with rifles and other weapons attacked us and made away with our monies and other belongings. All of them were wearing masks," she narrated.

Sounds, well, a bit depressingly common along some of the highways of West Africa. But there's an odd and, in some ways, uplifting twist to it all:

She added that the armed robbers, after the robbery, asked them to seek divine intervention on their behalf.

"After the robbery, they asked us to pray for them because it was not their will to stop vehicles on the highway and rob passengers of their belongings but the system has compelled them to do so," she added.

On the one hand, these people just jammed rifles in your face and stole from you your money and your personal possessions.

On the other hand...

Hmmmmm.

That's about it!
