If you haven't seen Big George Foreman yet, don't wait. It's definitely worth a trip to the theater.

Here's the trailer if you haven't heard of the movie:

I honestly forgot about seeing a trailer for it, but then I saw this tweet by Franklin Graham and remembered that "Big George Foreman" is a Christian movie about Foreman's walk of faith, not just a boxing biopic.

If you didn't know, the former heavyweight champion of the world is also a pastor of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and has been since 1980.

But he was not always a Christian. In fact, he was antagonistic toward God.

Then in a fight against Jimmy Young, George Foreman died.

"I was gone out of this life. Above me, under me, all around me was nothing," he remembered. "The most sad thoughts that you can even come to mind — multiply it. I was in a dump yard of nothing and sorrowfulness…I remember thinking there was no hope for me — like someone had dropped me out in a sea. There was no land."

After crying out that he still believed in a God, Foreman said that "a hand reached in and pulled me out of nothing and death."

"I don't want to die," Foreman told God. "I don't want your money. I want you."

After that he gave up boxing and devoted his life to ministry.

I don't want to give away the whole story of what happens next; go see the movie if you want to know.

I will say that the movie is rated PG-13 for violence. It's a boxing movie. There's a lot of bruising and blood being spit out of men's mouths, that sort of thing, but no language, nudity, or wokeness.

There's also one scene of implied impropriety from an unsaved Foreman, which leads to a divorce from his first wife. Alcohol consumption also leads to some heartbreak in the film.

Both of these negative aspects are very sad and are portrayed as the destructive force sin always is. But the beauty of the movie is the complete redemption Foreman experienced after God took over his life.

I took my kids, and they loved It.
