A married mom of 2 was killed at the Chiefs parade. Why won't the media or police reveal the IDs of the accused shooters? 🤨

I'm sick of it.

I'm sick of journalists and public officials who tweak narratives when a mother was killed and multiple kids were shot.

See, we know everything about the victim:

'She was a local DJ. She did everybody's weddings. We all know her. She was so full of life.'

...

Lopez-Galvan, in her mid-40s, lived with her husband and two children in Shawnee, just an hour southeast of where the tragic shooting occurred.

She worked as a disc jockey for community radio station KKFI and as the co-host of 'Tejano Tuesday,' which focused on Hispanic music.

Beto Lopez, president and chief executive officer of the Guadalupe Centers, is her brother, the Star reported.

These were the men apparently arrested in connection with the mass shooting at the huge Kansas City parade yesterday:

A staple of the community. Someone who brought joy to thousands. A contributor. A good citizen. A wife. A mom. A sister. A daughter.

Dead.

Meanwhile, the only reason we know anything at all about the men charged in her death is because of citizen journalists and Elon Musk's commitment to free speech:

UPDATE:

I can't give you more than that because THE POLICE WON'T RELEASE DETAILS.

(If they do before the day is out, I would be SHOCKED.)

This is par for the course when a black teen (or a trans person who hates Christians) is a mass shooter.

And I guess I wouldn't be upset if the standard was the same - if everyone expected it to be days before we get IDs so we don't slander someone who might be innocent.

But we all know what happens when a random white guy is the shooter (bonus points if he voted Republican).

Remember Georgia in 2021?

The shooter in that case had been visiting prostitutes at the Asian spa and felt guilty, so he snapped and went on a shooting spree. It wasn't racially motivated at all.

But the media covered it that way so thoroughly and plastered the guy's name and face in so many places that it was a national story with a huge vigil held in Times Square one YEAR after the crime.

The irony, of course, is that the wave of violence - as seen in that above Reuters video - was widely being carried out by black criminals.

But the random white guy was the poster boy!

I hate this because it shouldn't matter what skin color criminals have. All of them should be punished. Part of that punishment is public shame.

But nah, instead, the media and politicians have to do damage control after another loving mom was murdered.

I. Am. Sick. Of. It.
