J.K. Rowling has been one of the most absolutely-based commentators regarding transgenderism. She's been on fire:

She's plainly not backing down — even unto the point that she gets the dementors sic'd on her:

[India] Willoughby, who has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK and co-hosted shows including Loose Women, said [he] had reported Rowling to Northumbria Police in recent days.

In an interview with Byline TV, Willoughby claimed [he] had a "cut and dry" complaint against Rowling, arguing that [he] had been repeatedly misgendered by the writer.

In a sane country, the police would hang up the phone.

But Britain's not a sane country anymore, not really. So though it might amount to nothing, Rowling is likely going to get a visit from the constables.

(Which is highly ironic given how her uber-famous "Harry Potter" series detailed how evil people can take control of a government and jail dissidents.)

But in the meantime she's not taking it lying down:

Some time ago, lawyers advised me that not only did I have a clearly winnable case against India Willoughby for defamation, but that India's obsessive targeting of me over the past few years may meet the legal threshold for harassment.

I ignored this advice because I couldn't be bothered giving India the publicity he so clearly craves. Nevertheless, we must all do our bit to combat hate, so India will be glad to know I've taken note of his homophobia, racism, and humane stance on immigration.

Nor have I forgotten India's shocking transphobia. It appears to have slipped what passes for India's mind that he's previously called a fellow trans woman a man on this very site.

Surprisingly for such an eminent legal authority, he appears to have forgotten that the Forstater ruling established that gender critical views can be protected in law as a philosophical belief. No law compels anyone to pretend to believe that India is a woman.

Aware as I am that it's an offence to lie to law enforcement, I'll simply have to explain to the police that, in my view, India is a classic example of the male narcissist who lives in a state of perpetual rage that he can't compel women to take him at his own valuation.

That's some freakin' GRYFFINDOR ENERGY right there!

I can't say for certain but it suuuure looks like J.K. Rowling just promised to bring both defamation and harassment suits against one of her most hateful transgender critics.

For reference, Rowling mentioned the "Forstater ruling," which held that "gender-critical views are capable of being protected as a belief under the [U.K.'s] Equality Act 2010." That means her (correct) assertion that Willoughby is a man is protected under British law. Perhaps police will see her conduct differently, but that seems unlikely.

Willoughby, meanwhile, reaaallly wants to make this "misgendering" thing happen:

It is a hate crime and it should be treated just as someone calling a black person the n-word ...
