A Maryland councilwoman tried to brand her Muslim constituents as white supremacists. It didn't go well. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Discovering the boundaries of wokeism can be a painful, difficult process for a liberal. It can be hard to watch.

It can also be a lot of fun to watch too!

A Democrat Maryland elected official apologized in a Sunday afternoon statement addressed to the Muslim community days after she blasted their children who spoke against an LGBTQ+ curriculum at a Montgomery County Public Schools board meeting as being aligned with "White supremacists."

Now, right away you can see the strong advantage progressives have in the public square. This lady tried to equate her Muslim constituents with white supremacists and she only apologized "days" later. If she were a Republican she would have been forced to apologize about nine seconds after making this idiotic claim.

Montgomery County Councilwoman Kristin Mink had gotten so triggered because these young children were complaining that their parents couldn't opt them out of LGBT indoctrination at school. You may not be aware of it, but many Muslims โ€” even nominally moderate ones โ€” take a pretty dim view of all of this gender-fluid nonsense. They don't like it. They don't want their kids to be force-fed it. And they're not shy about speaking up about it.

So this lady decided they were white supremacists. Well, she just found out what happens when you do that, and you better believe she's scrambling to rehabilitate her image:

"[My remarks] created an opportunity for misunderstanding and mischaracterization," she said. "I apologize for the hurt that caused in the Muslim community."

I think the councilwoman can safely write off the Muslim vote in the next election cycle.
