At this point, haven't the ladies been given enough preferential treatment? Isn't it about time that a man had a shot at taking home a beautiful tiara and calling himself queen for a day?

Well, the visionaries at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri have made that dream a reality:

It's a tradition as old as time: homecoming queen.

But this year, Rock Bridge High School made a change in their traditions. Senior Zachary Willmore won the title of homecoming queen at this year's homecoming game.

He's the first boy to win the title.

"It was literally like a dream," Wilmore said. "It was just really special to me."

As the old saying goes: What a time to be alive. One by one, all the old redoubts of female power and privilege—women's sports, women's bathrooms, the homecoming court—are falling to a bold generation of fearless male trailblazers. Finally, the boys are being given a fair shot!

Best of luck, ladies!
