Okay, seriously, what were these people thinking?

Yes, according to the story there were a few "passengers" in the car when it hit the deer. So more than one person was in on this terrible idea.

The occupants told police they had struck the deer and placed it in the hatchback of the car. When they realized it was still alive, they kept driving.

So I guess it was a good thing, then, that they were pulled over.

(I'm guessing the girl wasn't even drunk, just driving like a maniac because a live deer was flopping around in her car.)

Moral of the story: If you're gonna try and bag yourself a fresh deer on the side of the road illegally, you'd better make sure that lil" lady's dead!
