"If the roles were reversed I would have been taken away in handcuffs": No charge yet for abortionist who ran over pro-life sidewalk counselor's leg

Pro-life sidewalk counselor Mark Zimmerman was hit twice by the abortionist's car outside the abortion clinic where Zimmerman often prays and ministers in Saginaw Township, Michigan.

The abortionist, 88-year-old Theodore Roummel, has a history of threatening pro-lifers outside his clinic and even served 6 months of probation after hitting the director of Pro-Life Michigan with his car back in 2012 when he was only a sprightly 77-year-old.

A fundraiser set up for Zimmerman claimed that after running him over, Roummel backed up over his leg again and then got out of his car and laughed at Zimmerman.

What is deeply cruel and callous about this situation, according to witnesses, is that the abortionist got out of his vehicle after the attack and laughed at Mark as he lay injured on the ground. This particular abortionist has a repeated history of making threating comments, pulling into the driveway at reckless speeds in order to intimidate people, and swerving toward people who are standing on the public easement, the curb, or the edge of the clinic driveway behind a designated line (where people are legally permitted to stand).

So far, Roummel has not been charged with anything in this case, and according to Live Action, Zimmerman has followed up with police, saying,

I went today to the police station in Saginaw Township, and was told they didn't have the police report finished because it is still under investigation. If the roles were reversed I would have been taken away in handcuffs.

There's no doubt that he's right. But if you're an abortionist you can apparently run over someone's leg, not once, but twice, get a talking-to from the police, and waltz into work to commit five abortions, as Roummel reportedly did.

Zimmerman said that while he will have to have surgery to have a rod placed in his tibia, he is not planning to stay away from his work for long,

Once I'm all done with this whole ordeal, I will continue to go back and continue ministering. I feel God called me to do this. I'm moving forward and telling people that I do forgive this gentleman for his actions, as a believer in Jesus Christ, but I do want to see justice prevail. I don't consider myself a hero of any kind. Keep up the fight for life, and remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear.
