NPR is out here claiming environmentalists should get credit for a push toward nuclear power. For real.

This story is like if a child pooped the bed and smeared it on the walls and then demanded you thank him for cleaning his room.

THEY ARE THE ONES WHO WERE RESISTING!

The environmentalist wackos have been lying about nuclear power since the '70s and planted the fear of nuclear meltdown in the American consciousness for half a century.

This is why our politicians are shutting down reactors and trying to power modern civilization on sunshine and gentle breezes.

Now, environmentalists are finally starting to cave to the reality that nuclear is the most reliable, safe, and least wasteful form of electricity production on the planet.

But NPR demands that you THANK them for finally relenting.

Literally, the environmentalists have been THE biggest enemy of nuclear.

They don't shy away from the fact that for many people nuclear power is scary. "We say we were scared too," said Hoff. "It's okay to be scared. But that doesn't mean it's dangerous."

In terms of deaths from accidents or pollution, nuclear is far safer than coal or natural gas - the largest sources of electricity in the U.S.

NUCLEAR IS FAR SAFER THAN COAL AND NATURAL GAS! THIS IS WHAT SOME OF US HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR DECADES.

It's 2022 and we have known this forever!

For fun, here's a simple comic that explains how much greater nuclear power output is than other sources of energy:

Why, oh why, are we just now saying this when the environmentalists are just waking up to reality?

Environmentalists haven't led this push.

They've been dragged kicking and screaming the whole way, trying to force wind and solar on us.

How many coal miners have died?

How many ships full of oil have gone down on the oceans?

How many people have had their power shut off due to high costs?

How many birds have gotten minced by windmills that freeze in Texas storms?

How many landfills are going to be filled with broken solar panels?

(All the nuclear waste that's ever been made could fit in a football field or two and loses 99% of its radioactivity within a few decades)

We're glad that nuclear power is making a comeback, but the environmentalist wackos should get ZERO credit.
