At this point, sharing anything from Twitter almost feels like cheating, but... here you go. Eat this up:

Huh.

One of my favorite talk show hosts described a hypothetical scenario that goes something like this:

If you walk out to your front yard, and look over at your neighbor, and you see him walk up to some dog poop, and then pick it up and eat it... there's no point in trying to explain to him all the reasons why he shouldn't eat dog poop. He's eating dog poop! He's not interested in hearing about all the reasons why eating dog poop is a bad life choice: He's eating dog poop."

If you think China is a shining example of human rights, successful economics, and good government, there's no point in reasoning with you: You're eating dog poop, man.

But, because I'm a glutton for vain efforts, let me just say:

China totally wasn't built on:

• ...slavery

• ...genocide

• ...poor economics

• ...or malevolent government!

/sarcasm

And colonialism? Even if you disregard situations like Hong Kong and Tibet:
