Alright guys. It's America's birthday and we're going to do things right for the 249th year of independence.

I have painstakingly curated the start to your 4th of July party, and it will be a party.

First off, let's kick things off like a Trump rally with a little Lee Greenwood.

God Bless the U.S.A.

And it's so hard to choose one version of the National Anthem to go with, but it's hard to go wrong with this one.

Star Spangled Banner - Meat Loaf

How could an American playlist be complete without The King himself. And is there anything that makes one swell with pride more than this?

An American Trilogy - Elvis Presley

And I know John Denver is the original, no one does it better, but Lana Del Rey more than did justice to this tribute to rural America.

Take Me Home, Country Roads - Lana Del Rey

You've gotta admit, there are chills that come along with this version.

Now, let's take a quick detour into the world of classic rock.

And, no, I am not including covertly anti-American songs like Springsteen's and CCR's popular anti-war songs.

Living in America - James Brown

American Girl - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Pink Houses - John Mellencamp

Ain't that America?

Hard to beat the sentiment.

And, while there's nothing specifically patriotic about these next few, there's something that's just so American about these tunes.

More than a Feeling - Boston

Don't Stop Believin' - Journey

Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd

Wouldn't it be Nice - The Beach Boys

Boys of Summer - Don Henley

Let's toss a bone to our country music lovers as well.

Only in America - Brooks and Dunn

American Remains - The Highwaymen

And, since we've mentioned the Man in Black.

Ragged Old Flag - Johnny Cash

And to cap things off, nothing better than this classic rendition of one of the greatest tributes to the world's greatest nation.

America, the Beautiful - Ray Charles

This is a good starting point for your 4th of July cookout, pool party, fireworks, or whatever you're doing today.

Remember, there's nothing wrong with loving your country and your neighbors. 🇺🇸
