A stray cat was saved by a few awesome fans and an American flag at the Miami Hurricanes football game tonight, and you've just gotta watch the video to believe it.

Man, that was a close call, but lucky for this adventurous feline, he had a few guardian angels at the game. Craig Cromer and his wife, Kimberly, have season tickets and bring that lucky American flag to all of the Miami home games. When they saw the cat dangling, they took immediate action and helped break its fall with their trusty Stars and Stripes.

The way the crowd erupts when the cat emerges alive is epic and makes you feel good about humanity, even if just for a brief second. As of the time of writing, it's unclear whether the dangly cat has learned it's lesson, but it certainly should make all of us that much more thankful for Old Glory.
