This is an absolutely wild story out of NYC where a Dominican man who was slated to be deported participated in a robbery, botched it, and ended up getting in a shootout with an off-duty CBP agent.
This video released by Homeland Security shows two men jump off a moped and approach the officer, who quickly pulled out his service weapon. The illegal alien fired and hit the officer in the face and arm, but the officer managed to return fire and hit the perp in the leg and groin. 👇

An off-duty customs and border protection officer who was shot in the face is recovering after a botched robbery in Fort Washington Park on Saturday.
Officials say Miguel Mora, 21, who is in custody in connection to the shootout, was in the country illegally and has a history of violence in recent months.
That's no joke. Mora had an active bench warrant in the Bronx for a robbery in December and a stabbing from January.

The second suspect is also in custody, according to Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem.
NYC Mayor Eric Adams, Border Patrol, and Homeland Security all praised the officer's quick reaction.
'Our officer is a hero. He did exactly what we ask of all of our officers under the circumstances,' said Customs and Border Protection Director of Field Operations Frank Russo.

Border Enforcement Director Tom Homan and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem were expected to visit the officer Monday.
Noem said Mora had been deported to the Dominican Republic two years ago, but managed to come back through Biden's open border.
Praise the Lord that the officer is expected to recover.

Officials say Mora checked into a Bronx hospital following the shooting with gun shot wounds to his legs and groin area.
