Riverside County Department of Animal Services (RCDAS) responded Monday morning to a call that a coyote was wandering around inside Jurupa Unified's Mission Middle School in Riverside, California.
The animal, nicknamed "Wile E.", had been seen multiple times over the last few weeks, but this was the first time he came into the school building. School staff quickly cornered the animal in a bathroom stall.
After that, Animal Services Officer, Will Luna, was able to capture the animal, and of course, take a video of himself doing it:
RCDAS Director Erin Gettis said in a statement,
We are pleased that this incident was smooth and all the children were OK and we were able to get the coyote back to its more natural habitat.
Just one more reason for you Californians to take your kids out of public school - you never know when a wild coyote may wander into their gender-neutral bathrooms!
