Please enjoy this arsonist accidentally setting himself on fire

Ah, the finding out that inevitably comes after messing about.

🤣🤣🤣

And there ya have it, folks — just a little taste of his own medicine.

It all went down late Saturday night, July 6, in Gungahlin, Australia. The two suspects escaped, and Australian Capital Territory (ACT) police are now investigating.

Police say it could have been a lot worse.

Not only were the arsonists lucky to have gotten out of there (seemingly without major injuries), but the barbershop is also under a 24-hour gym, which had 20 or so kids in there at the time of the fire.

Barbershop owner Yousif Hussein said the arsonists caused around $30,000 in damage to his business, which had just opened earlier this year. The police and the owner believe it was a targeted attack, but Hussein says he doesn't know why his particular location, which is part of a chain, was singled out.

It's been difficult — no sleeping after that, the financial damage, the stress.

When something like that happens, you're just thinking, 'Who's doing this? Why is it happening? Is this going to affect my family? Is it going to affect me while I'm walking to my car after work?'.

I just want answers, just to see why someone would do something like that.

It looks like it was targeted - they didn't steal anything.

...

There were kids upstairs [at the gym] training at that time, about 20 of them, so if this place went on fire, I don't know what then would have happened to those kids.'

I hope they find those dumb criminals!
