Biden Admin reduces the amount of milk for babies and moms under the WIC program and replaces it with soy products.

The Biden Administration continues its campaign against children and America's lowest-income families with changes to the WIC program, lowering the amount of milk available to babies and mothers by four quarts per month.

Congress signaled its disapproval of the change with a letter to the USDA, though for some reason our elected legislators seem to have very little check on our unelected regulators these days.

What is the USDA's justification for lowering the amount of milk available to our nation's most vulnerable?

According to the rule,

The proposed quantities reflect NASEM recommendations, are more consistent with the supplemental nature of the Program, and are consistent with nutrition education messages to consume a balanced diet that meets, but does not exceed, recommended amounts of foods and nutrients to prevent overweight/obesity and/or displace other healthy and important food groups and nutrients.

To summarize, they're lowering the milk allotment to combat obesity and encourage other healthy foods.

Let's start with the first one.

Studies as late as 2016 show that non-obese children ages 2-20 were more likely to drink whole milk. Obese children ages 2-20 were less likely to have weaned to whole milk, and more likely to consume 1% milk or plant-based alternatives.

So, we'll scratch obesity off the list.

How about those other healthy food choices?

Well, the rule lists the foods that will now be available instead of milk: soy-based yogurts and cheeses.

Now, to be fair. I can understand adding plant-based options for those that have milk allergies, but replacing cow milk with plant-based options for healthy kids and moms without allergies stinks of climate hysteria.

We already know that our benevolent rulers would like to get rid of all the cows because they burp and stuff.

That's a given, but what are some other climate problems that might be solved by less dairy?

How about tall people?

According to the Left, tall people cause more climate change.

Did you know that the average daily cup of whole milk a three-year old drinks is directly related to an increase in height of .5 cm?

A good example of that height correlation can be seen in the average height of the Japanese. Before Western diets became common in the 20th century, milk was consumed infrequently.

After milk, cheese, and especially ice cream became a more common staple, the average height of the Japanese man increased 4 inches.

Tall people make more money and are generally more successful (sorry short readers), so cutting these kids off on the height benefits of milk does not bode well for getting them out of the cycle of poverty.

And that's just one example, we hardly have time in this article to get into bone mass, muscle mass, and intelligence.

So, cutting the milk allotment means the left gets to keep the poor in their place in the name of compassionate elitism, disadvantaging them at an early age, while simultaneously sticking it to the dairy farmers, so they'll go out of business and increase food scarcity —

I mean the Left can stop the cows from farting and save the planet.

It's a win/win if you're a Marxist.
