Biden is preparing to give the ATF a whopping $200M raise in order to "increase regulation of the firearm industry"
· · Mar 18, 2023 ·

Republicans, take note: Democrats simply do not play around when they come into power.

President Biden's budget proposal for fiscal year 2024 includes a whopping $1.9 billion for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), a massive increase of millions of dollars from the previous year's budget.

The total increase is $200 million, or a huge 13.6% jump from the prior year. And the total upcoming ATF budget is a staggering 50% higher since Obama's last year in office.

What, meanwhile, does the ATF's $2 billion actually do? According to the White House, it will "expand multijurisdictional gun trafficking strike forces with additional personnel, increase regulation of the firearms industry, and implement the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act."

This isn't the only recent move the White House has taken on gun control:

Remember, Republicans: You, too, can aggressively advance your policies and beliefs like this once you get into office. Try it sometime and see!
