Not all ambitions are good, my friends.
Here's the White House resident explaining his plan. When he says "greenhouse gas emissions," that means "less making and doing stuff" and when he says "reduce," that means "government fines and red tape that keep people from enjoying life."
This lame duckity duck is seriously going for broke.
I want you to look at this chart real quick:
America has already been slashing its carbon dioxide emissions for nearly two decades.
Technological advances only allow us so much reduction, however. Notice Biden said his agenda will cut pollution on "cars and trucks and power plants."
That means more complex, even more expensive cars.
That means increased financial burdens on shipping and freight companies.
That means higher oil, coal, and natural gas prices, which will affect the cost of every single thing that we buy and use.
That means more red tape that hinders jobs, opportunity, and innovation in American energy outside of the small "pay to play" gReeN energy field.
That means even less oil and natural gas being delivered safely through American pipelines ... and more being shipped in leaky cargo ships from unstable Middle Eastern countries.
That means more tax dollars being shuffled into Marxist welfare programs for "oppressed" minority groups with "climate change" as the excuse.
Here's what this is actually about, courtesy of that ABC News link:
In 2021, Biden re-entered the Paris Agreement after President Donald Trump pulled the U.S. out of the international climate accord and set the current target of 50% to 52% greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, compared to 2005 levels.
In announcing the new goal, Biden said, 'together, we will turn this existential threat into a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform our nation for generations to come.'
President-elect Trump has said he will pull the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement again and reduce or eliminate climate and environmental regulations.
Biden is giving the biggest middle finger that he can to Trump's mandates (and thus the will of the American people) by putting up roadblocks that will take time to remove in the bureaucratic swamp. To add insult to injury, all of this is just an effort to impose the wishes of the globalist grifters at the UN.
Laying out this vision is also a signal to state and local allies who will continue to push for insane climate policies in opposition to whatever Trump does at the federal level:
During Trump's first term, governors and mayors helped put downward pressure on emissions while the executive branch favored more fossil fuel development and fewer regulations.
Bingo.
Consider California's insane idea that it can ban gas-powered cars by 2035 without major negative consequences:
My "favorite" part of the plan is this:
The proposal includes a methane emissions reduction target of 35% below 2005 levels by 2035.
Is AOC finally going to be able to kill all those flatulent bovines??
My question for Biden?
Why not just cut emissions all the way and let us all starve and freeze in the dark? Would the planet be saved then? THAT would be "ambitious"!
