- Inflation is off the charts. The best raises don't even cover it.
- Gas is at $8 bucks a gallon in L.A. and rising to that level quickly around the U.S.
- Baby formula is out of stock in 70% of stores.
- The stock market has had brutal crashes recently.
- There's no more stimmy money coming (the only reason bank accounts felt inflated for that short time).
- Our groceries cost twice what they did two years ago. Every service, from a tire change to your favorite restaurant's prices, have jumped 20% or more.
- Everyone from the CEO of JPMorgan to Elon Musk are warning about an insane economic downfall the likes of which we haven't seen.
Some random thoughts:
If your family is like mine, you've begun having serious conversations about strict budgeting for the first time since that bad orange man was in the White House.
