Look, the only gun control I support is good trigger discipline, but we have an actual idiot in the White House who wants to take our guns, but says things like "shoot them in the knee" as a legitimate rule for stopping bad guys.

Biden's puppetmasters are using the ATF to deny Americans access to guns, and their newest dumb strategy to restrict us is to shut down any and all gun dealers they don't like.

Since the fiscal year began in October, 122 licenses have been revoked. Biden's ATF revoked 90 in 2022 and 27 in 2021. The previous record for the Obama and Trump administrations was 81 in a year.

"We were making $1 million a year, now it's less than $100,000," Anthony Navarro, a gun dealer who lost his license last year after receiving three warnings for legal violations since 2009, told Wall Street Journal. "This policy is designed to be a backdoor violation of the Second Amendment."

Navarro said he was issued warnings over mistakes gun purchasers made on paperwork but that they weren't prohibited from buying guns.

It's hard to argue with that.

I mean, call me crazy, but I don't think the people who say things like "I'm not a firearms expert" ought to be in charge of deciding who is and who isn't allowed to buy and sell guns.

The ATF released this statement in regard to their crackdown:

"Federal Firearms Licensees are often our first line of defense against gun crime and are often a source of critical enforcement information that helps law enforcement identify straw purchasers and disrupt firearms trafficking schemes," ATF Spokesperson Kristina Mastropasqua said. "FFLs that willfully violate the law, however, must be held accountable. ATF conducts inspections to ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations and to educate licensees on the specific requirements of those laws and regulations."

Yeah, I'm going to totally trust the bureaucratic, nitpicking, gun-grabbing losers appointed by Biden to make these sorts of decisions.

That seems like a great idea.

Now let's talk about why this is going to backfire on Biden and his handlers.

You want to make sure the bad guys aren't getting guns? Then make it easier for good citizens to buy guns and build trust with local gun shops.

"The gun dealers were our first line of defense against gun trafficking," Peter Forcelli, a retired deputy assistant director, told Wall Street Journal. "Why are we now beating an ally into submission?"

This is key.

Gun shops have historically been a huge help against gun trafficking and other suspicious activity. Local gun dealers want their communities to be safe. They want their neighbors to be well armed and well trained. They want the bad guys in jail.

But the Swamp creatures are so obsessed with taking away our guns that they don't care if our communities are safe.

They think the bad guys will listen to their rules if they just throw a little more red tape into the equation, but in the end the bad guys will just get guns elsewhere and the dealers will stop reporting things. A lot more bad guys (and guns) are gonna slip through the cracks.

But what else would you expect from the Biden admin other than absolute failure??
