Imagine if the president of the United States had appointed a person who thinks kids should eat only candy and trans fats to one of the foremost public health positions in the nation.
The ensuing firestorm would be both fair and expected.
But what if that person is openly pushing for little kids to have monstrously invasive surgeries and begin a lifetime of chemicals meant to stop their body's natural processes?
In the great American civilization of the 21st century, such things are approaching the norm.
Such is the case with Dr. Rachel (formerly Richard) Levine, who has been nominated by Biden to serve as assistant secretary of health and human services.
The media has fawned over Levine because of the 'historical" appointment of a transgender person to a position that will guide public health policy for 350+ million people.
The National Pulse published a story Tuesday that dove into Levine's push to let young children be given gender reassignment procedures, telling parents they should stop parenting and let their kid decide when it comes to the most extreme and life-altering decision one could make.
"A professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the Penn State College of Medicine, Levine has given lectures in various settings since at least 2012 on how to perform sex changes and gender conversion therapy on children.
According to Levine, children ought to be given the latitude to choose their own gender. Levine has advised adults to 'try not to force them one way or other [sic]' and instead to follow the child's lead."
Huh. It's funny, there's a bunch of medical and scientific evidence that says exactly the opposite, but we must never question sCiEnCe in its pursuit of reshaping reality.
"'For prepubertal children,' Levine said in a 2017 speech at Franklin & Marshall College, 'they might present in different ways. They might present at school in the gender they were identified at birth, or they might present as the other gender, or they might be more gender-fluid.' Levine has described children as young as five or six as 'knowing' which gender they wanted to be."
Again, these statements are tOtaLLy based in quantifiable facts, expertise, and research.
Here's the type of studies that Levine routinely promotes:
The problem with such studies are that their conclusions are dubious at best and are immediately used to justify ideological standpoints that will affect millions of kids.
Other nations are quickly learning the ramifications of adults playing fast and loose with their children's lives, as was the case with Keira Bell in the UK, who just won a lawsuit against the government for allowing her to transition to live as a male as a teen. The UK has suspended transition treatments for minors as a result.
If even the world's most LGBT-positive governments do not allow the type of sex changes for kids that Levine would like, what does it say that we here in America are doubling down on the insanity?
