Sam Brinton has set a new record for trans and non-binary folx everywhere by becoming the first nuclear waste official to be charged with theft. Progress!
"Sam Brinton is no longer a DOE employee," a Department of Energy spokesperson told The Daily Beast on Monday evening. "By law, the Department of Energy cannot comment further on personnel matters."
The non-binary adult-in-charge was charged with stealing luggage in the Minneapolis and Las Vegas airports this year, which could mean years of jail time.
Mr. Brinton, who does not identify as either male or female, was described in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's arrest warrant, according to the New York Post, as "a white male adult wearing a white T-shirt with a large rainbow-colored atomic nuclear symbol design."
