Let's head over to a Reuters fact-check that cites The New York Times, shall we?

The Times reported that Bill Gates had met in with Epstein multiple times (here). This was after Epstein had been convicted of past sex crimes. The Times reported that, "beginning in 2011, Mr. Gates met with Mr. Epstein on numerous occasions" and "Employees of Mr. Gates's foundation also paid multiple visits to Mr. Epstein's mansion." Exchanges were recorded and reported by the newspaper, including possible philanthropic collaboration.

So Bill decided to hang out with Epstein multiple times after Epstein had been convicted of sex crimes... and this included employees of his foundation that had "no relationship of any kind" to Epstein.
