What started out as a satirical internet conspiracy theory has now become reality.

Birds are not real.

Behold a drone made by researchers out of a taxidermy bird with surveillance technology for "wildlife monitoring":

If you're unfamiliar with the phrase "birds aren't real" it started in 2017 as satirical conspiracy theory. The basic premise is that the CIA replaced birds with drones years ago to spy on the American people.

"Birds aren't real" was an anti-Trump joke mocking conservatives for being prone to conspiracy theories, like believing Trump didn't collude with Russia.

Oddly enough, the Russian Collusion thing really was a government-led conspiracy against Trump!

Then the pandemic has shown us that those labeled the "conspiracy theorists" were mostly right about the government and media's conspiracies regarding Covid-19 and vaccines as well.

Now, here we are watching even the satirical conspiracy created to mock the increasingly correct conspiracy theorists become reality:
