MUST-SEE: Bloomberg stealth-edits article after bombshell report that Tim Walz "launched political career on false claim as combat veteran"

There's a lot of chatter today about "stolen valor."

In short, there are claims that Kamala Harris's VP pick, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, played up his service to pretend that he saw combat when he actually left his National Guard unit before it was deployed to Iraq - and that he has used this claim to help him in his political career.

I know we're a silly little website that posts things that are too crazy to believe, but we try to vet things thoroughly before bringing them to you.

But sometimes, the media goes and admits its own sins:

The edit was made after Jordan Schachtel over at The Dossier published a well researched article about Walz's past claims regarding his military service. Schachtel noted that the same writer of the above Bloomberg piece, Joshua Green, falsely called Walz an Iraqi combat veteran all the way back in 2006 when Green worked for The Atlantic.

That entire article is worth a read, if not only so you can be armed with one side of the story in case Walz ever decides to answer the allegations. So far, he's too busy ignoring reporters to care.

Schachtel continued his piece with another glaring example of journalistic failure and/or malpractice.

Schachtel asserts that Walz was "picked out of relative obscurity by Democrat operatives" who were looking for veterans that they could use as Trojan Horses - kindly, family men with military service who would put a friendly smile on leftist policies.

He then noted that Green was still calling Walz an Iraqi combat vet:

It's worth reading and watching the testimonies of multiple service members in Minnesota's 125th Field Artillery Regiment regarding Walz's claims.

On Tuesday, the Harris campaign posted a video of Walz discussing the need to confiscate and ban American citizen's weapons (the ones they label "weapons of war," as if conflict isn't the point of all weapons).

"We can research the impacts of gun violence. We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, are only carried in war," he tells the audience.

Except, according to the reports, Walz never went to war. He was stationed in Italy for a few months before returning home, then dropping out of the Guard before his unit deployed to a real war zone.

It's a serious allegation. One that Walz should be given a chance to answer.

So far, he hasn't done so, which is raising all sorts of eyebrows.

Walz served for over two decades. We can't immediately accuse him of jumping ship because he was scared to go into combat. Perhaps he had already been planning it. Perhaps he actually did an exceptional job.

But the silence from him and the Harris campaign is deafening.

Instead, the Democratic tactic seems to be stealth-editing articles and trying to defame JD Vance for his actual combat service.

Thankfully, on that front, men who served with JD are defending him, including this Bernie 2016 delegate and Tulsi Gabbard 2020 alum:

I'd like to see if any of Walz's brothers in arms will defend him.

Right now, it doesn't look promising. ๐Ÿ‘‡
