Body cam footage shows arrests of voter fraudsters as a result of DeSantis' election integrity measures

Earlier this year, Ron DeSantis announced the launch of his Office of Election Crimes and Security and immediately fraudsters throughout the sunshine state were arrested for illegally voting.

20 people were arrested as soon as the office was put into place.

Now we've got some of the body cam footage from the arrests. The Tampa Bay Times has released the videos.

These folks are absolutely flabbergasted. They never in a million years thought they'd actually be arrested for illegally voting in Florida's elections.

But there's a new sheriff in town.

Well, a new governor at least.

The likelihood is that these people, who were all given registration cards, will get off the hook.

The officer was correct in one way: State law says that a voter has to "willfully" commit the crime — a hurdle that has forced some prosecutors not to charge ineligible voters.

In Lake County this year, for example, prosecutors declined to bring charges against six convicted sex offenders who voted in 2020.

"In all of the instances where sex offenders voted, each appear to have been encouraged to vote by various mailings and misinformation," prosecutor Jonathan Olson wrote. "Each were given voter registration cards which would lead one to believe they could legally vote in the election. The evidence fails to show willful actions on a part of these individuals."

They illegally voted, but these counties are handing out voter registration cards to people who are legally prevented from voting. It's an issue that goes deeper than the individuals in this video.

It looks like local governments across Florida need to be cleaned up (if the problem is this bad in Florida, how bad do you think it is in your neighborhood??).

The Democrats have created such confusion in the state of Florida by allowing felons to vote.

These folks may or may not know they're breaking the law, but the fact is they have committed murder or a sexual offense and gave up their right to vote.

It's good to see DeSantis take this issue seriously and prosecute those guilty of voter fraud.
